Binance Deposit Not Showing Up — What to Do

You made a deposit to Binance, but your balance hasn't changed. It's understandably stressful — especially when the amount is significant. Don't panic. In most cases, your funds are safe; they're just still in transit. This article helps you diagnose the issue and find the right solution.

First, Check These Basics

Before concluding that your deposit is "missing," verify a few fundamental things:

1. Was the Transaction Actually Sent?

Go to the platform or wallet you sent from and confirm whether the withdrawal was actually completed. Sometimes withdrawals require the sending platform's approval and may still be under review — meaning the funds haven't actually left yet.

What to check:

  • Is the withdrawal status "Completed" or "Processing"?
  • If it shows "Processing," the funds haven't been sent yet — just wait for the other platform to process it

2. Do You Have a TXID (Transaction Hash)?

If the transaction was sent, you should be able to find a TXID (Transaction ID) — a long string of letters and numbers. Think of it as a tracking number for your funds on the blockchain.

With a TXID, you can look up the confirmation status on a blockchain explorer.

3. Were the Address and Network Correct?

This is the most critical check. Recall or verify:

  • Was the deposit address you copied the one provided by Binance?
  • Does the network you selected match the one on Binance's deposit page?

If you don't have a Binance account yet, register through the Binance official site to see the deposit addresses for each network. Existing users can find them in the Binance App under the "Deposit" feature.

Common Causes and Solutions

Cause 1: Not Enough Network Confirmations

Every blockchain requires a certain number of "confirmations" before funds are credited. For example:

  • TRC20 requires 1 confirmation
  • ERC20 requires 12 confirmations
  • BEP20 requires 15 confirmations
  • Bitcoin requires 1 confirmation

If the network is congested, confirmations slow down. You can check the current confirmation count on a blockchain explorer:

  • TRC20: Use tronscan.org
  • ERC20: Use etherscan.io
  • BEP20: Use bscscan.com
  • Bitcoin: Use blockchain.com

Paste your TXID in the search bar to see how many confirmations have been completed. Once the required count is reached, Binance will automatically credit your account.

Solution: Wait patiently. Network confirmations happen automatically — you don't need to do anything.

Cause 2: Below the Minimum Deposit Amount

Binance has minimum deposit thresholds for each token on each chain. If your deposit is below the minimum, Binance won't credit it — and won't refund it either.

For example, if the minimum deposit for a particular token is 10 USDT and you sent 5 USDT, those 5 USDT will be stuck.

Solution: Always check the minimum deposit amount on the deposit page before sending. If you've already sent less than the minimum, contact support to see if anything can be done.

Cause 3: Wrong Deposit Address

If you pasted an incorrect deposit address, funds may have been sent to someone else's account or to a non-existent address. Recovery in this scenario is extremely difficult.

Solution: If funds went to someone else's address, they're essentially gone. This is why test transactions with small amounts are strongly recommended before large transfers.

Cause 4: Wrong Network Selected

This is one of the most common problems. For example, you withdrew from another platform using ERC20, but copied a BEP20 address from Binance's deposit page.

  • If Binance supports both chains (e.g., USDT on both ERC20 and BEP20), support may be able to help recover the funds
  • If the chains are completely incompatible, recovery is extremely difficult

Solution: Contact Binance online support with your TXID, deposit address, and the correct network information so they can look into it.

Cause 5: Binance System or Wallet Maintenance

Binance occasionally performs maintenance and upgrades on certain tokens or networks. Deposits during maintenance may experience delayed crediting.

Solution: Check Binance's announcements page for maintenance notices. Pending deposits will be processed automatically once maintenance is complete.

Cause 6: Deposited the Wrong Token

You intended to deposit USDT but selected the wrong address and sent a different token to USDT's address. Whether recovery is possible depends on chain and contract address compatibility.

Solution: Contacting support is your only option.

How to Check Deposit Progress

Within the Binance App

  1. Open the app → Assets → Deposit History
  2. Find the relevant deposit record
  3. Check the status: Processing / Completed / Failed

If it shows "Processing" with a confirmation progress bar, the blockchain confirmations aren't finished yet — keep waiting.

Using a Blockchain Explorer

This is the most direct method:

  1. Get your TXID
  2. Open the appropriate blockchain explorer
  3. Paste the TXID and search
  4. Check the transaction status and confirmation count

If the explorer shows the transaction as confirmed but Binance hasn't credited your account, there may be a system delay on Binance's side. Wait a bit longer or contact support.

Contacting Binance Support

If none of the above resolves your issue, you'll need to reach out to support.

Online support path: App → user icon (top left) → Help & Support → Online Chat

Have the following information ready when you contact them:

  • Token and amount deposited
  • Network used (e.g., TRC20)
  • TXID (transaction hash)
  • Deposit address
  • Time the deposit was initiated
  • Relevant screenshots

The more complete your information, the faster support can help.

How to Prevent Deposit Issues

Choose the right network: Sender and receiver must use the same network. For USDT, TRC20 is recommended — cheap, fast, and stable.

Copy and paste addresses: Never type addresses manually. After pasting, double-check the first and last few characters.

Test with a small amount first: The first time you send to a new address, try 10–20 USDT first. Once confirmed, send the larger amount.

Check the minimum deposit: The deposit page will show the minimum amount — pay attention.

Avoid maintenance windows: Check Binance announcements before depositing to avoid wallet maintenance periods.

Save your TXID: Keep a record of every transaction's TXID. If something goes wrong, this is the most important piece of evidence.

Common Concerns

Q: Are my funds lost? If the address and network were correct and the deposit is just slow, your funds aren't lost. Once a blockchain transaction is confirmed, it's irreversible, and Binance will credit your account once confirmations are complete.

Q: I've waited a long time — was I scammed? If you transferred from a legitimate exchange or your own wallet, there's no scam involved. Use the TXID to look up your funds on a blockchain explorer — you'll be able to see exactly where they are.

Q: Can I recover funds sent to the wrong address? It depends on the specifics. If you mixed up compatible networks (like ERC20 and BEP20), there's a reasonable chance of recovery. If the address is completely wrong, recovery is very unlikely. In either case, contact support first.
